The 2015 Audi TT and Audi S1 hatchback will be at the Geneva Motor Show. Additionally, an Audi S3 review has just finished taking pixelized form (published) over at CNET. When you have news to share it’s hard to keep from blurting it out all at once, so we feel better now that we’ve said all that.
In any case, we thought we’d provide a Thursday roundup of Audi news since there is quite a bit happening today. Here are the top three stories:
2015 Audi TT confirmed for 2014 Geneva Motor Show – The design of the new TT was teased last week when Audi revealed their Shooting Brake concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Shooting Brake concept was pulling triple duty by teasing three different concepts in one vehicle: plug-in hybrid electric, crossover SUV and Audi TT. Now Audi has officially said the TT will be at the Geneva festivities in early March.
S1 Hatchback also confirmed for 2014 Geneva Motor Show – Throwing all caution to the wind, Audi has embraced the dictum that news saved is news wasted. Following the trend of smaller SUV’s and more powerful small cars, the turbocharged 4-cylinder will test the limits of how much power can be crammed into the smallest vehicle possible with the S1. At the very least, it will help Audi get to their goal of 11 new models by 2020.
New S3 review by CNET – If the idea of a turbo 4-cylinder piques your interest, you might want to examine CNET’s review of the current S3. Roomier than the proposed S1, this is for people who like the power and feel of the S sedan, but want a pared down body. Thanks to all-wheel drive, 296 brake horsepower and a wonderfully light body, the S3 offers plenty of thrills for drivers who want driving to be a fun experience.
So there it is, the Audi Times for Thursday. There are lots of great things headed our way from Audi in 2014, and few automakers can guarantee so many new models. If your taste for Audi has been inspired, schedule a test drive at Audi Raleigh, and we’d be happy to show you around. Happy driving!
